On Good Friday

On Good Friday, I’d like to list a few inspirational quotes as we remember the sacrifice made that day for each of us.

And may your Easter Sunday be filled with joy and blessings! He is risen!

“The cross was two pieces of dead wood; and a helpless, unresisting Man was nailed to it; yet it was mightier than the world, and triumphed, and will ever triumph over it.” Augustus William Hare

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'” John 11:25-26 (The Bible)

If Christ is God, He cannot sin, and if suffering was a sin in and by itself, He could not have suffered and died for us. However, since He took the most horrific death to redeem us, He showed us in fact that suffering and pain have great power.”  E. A. Bucchianeri

“Easter is a time when God turned the inevitability of death into the invincibility of life.” Craig D. Lounsbrough

“When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.

See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.”

(Public Domain, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross by Isaac Watts, 1707)

So sorry we are having trouble with the comments section these days. We don’t understand what is causing the original issues and to fix it we have to delete and repost our blogs.
