Christmas in July! Upcoming client releases for Christmas time.

July 28, 2024 //  by Rachel Kent//  2 Comments

It has been SO hot in our area of California that I’m starting to dream of Christmastime. Cool air, beautiful lights and decorations, hymns sung at church and while decorating the tree, peppermint mochas…

Ahhhh. I’m ready!

Because I’m feeling ready for the holiday season, I thought I’d take today to highlight a few upcoming Christmas books I represented that are available for pre-order now:

First, Meddling with Mistletoe by Liz Johnson releases September 3, 2024.

Whitney Garrett is preparing to enter culinary school in the spring, but first she has to sell enough homemade pies at the local Christmas markets to pay her tuition. When her oven breaks, Whitney asks Marie Sloan, proprietor of the Red Door Inn, if she can use the inn’s kitchen to keep up with her orders. Marie agrees, with a catch: Whitney has to watch the three Sloan children and cook breakfasts for the Red Door in return.

The inn is busy with holiday guests–including Aretha Franklin Sloan’s perpetually single nephew Daniel and Ruby, a businesswoman in town to purchase Aretha’s antiques store. Intent on making a Christmas match for the two, Aretha enlists Whitney’s help in her schemes. But the deeper Whitney gets, the more she realizes that Ruby is definitely not the right woman for Daniel–and the more she thinks that she just might be his perfect match.

Cuddle up for some warm holiday cheer as New York Times bestselling author Liz Johnson explores the unforeseen consequences of meddling with mistletoe when love is on the line.

Jill Kemerer’s The Cowboy’s Christmas Treasures is releasing November 26, 2024.

Making peace with his past…

To be a part of their future

After his father’s heart attack, ranch hand Dean McCaffrey has no choice but to temporarily take over the family business—while hiding a shameful secret. But he doesn’t expect to fall for pretty widow Brooke Dewitt and her twin toddlers while remodeling their house. Brooke is counting on Dean to make her home wheelchair-accessible by Christmas. And soon she’s dreaming of a life with the handsome cowboy. But with both their futures uncertain, can they overcome their fears…and place their trust in love?

Also coming November 26, 2024 is Jessica R. Patch’s Deadly Christmas Inheritance.

This holiday, an unexpected gift
could be lethal.

Returning to her employer’s estate, caretaker Teegan Albright discovers the elderly woman dead—next to her own twin sister’s body. And when the masked killer appears and turns his knife toward her, Teegan finds a surprising ally and protector in Rhode Spencer—crime scene cleaner, private investigator…and the unknowing father of her two-year-old twins. After she inherits the rich lady’s fortune and the killer strikes again, all signs point to Teegan as the original target. Now with a greedy family topping the suspect list, can the pair unwrap a murderer’s identity…before Christmas turns deadly?

I’m excited about all three! Can’t wait! I hope you see one (or two or three) you’d like to read, too!

You can pre-order or purchase from your favorite retailer.

    Every Christmas Day I read
a book that always leaves me awed
with a new message that I need,
Barrett’s ‘The Left Hand Of God’,
a story of a man like me,
    captive of choice and circumstance,
whose only road to being free
lies in the taking of a chance
in which he finds he must risk all,
not for himself, but for his soul,
willing to drink the bitter gall
    of sacrifice to become whole,
for giving what we have, and more
is the key to Heaven’s door.
